How To prepare for SSB OIR Test?



Well the aim is to develop problem solving ability + solve problems quickly + be able to answer questions from unknown territory too.
  1. Practice from RS Aggarwal,Arun sharma.
  2. Practice questions from Aptitude Questions and Answers (Indiabix)
  3. Aim is to make your head to solve the problems effortlessly, so make sure you have enough practice.
  4. OIR usually covers verbal, non verbal, sentence rearranging, numerical logic problems.
  5. Practice from youtube, have a look StudySmart, Mahendra Guruji, bank adda..etc… (They usually cover most of the part)
Make sure you are practicing so well that you are never at unease while attempting OIR.

Mission Shakti - Anti-Satellite Missile Test

Why in news? Indian PM announced that India had carried out a successful anti-satellite missile test (ASAT), Mission Shakti. What is an anti-satellite missile test? ASAT is the technological capability to hit and destroy satellites in space through missiles launched from the ground. The first anti-satellite test (ASAT) was carried out by the US military way back in 1959. The then Soviet Union followed a year later. Thereafter, the two countries carried out a series of such tests up till early 1980s. After that there was a lull, broken only by the Chinese test in 2007. India became only the fourth country to carry out an anti-satellite missile test. Other countries which could have the capability, like Israel, have not shown an intention to test. The way we fight war might change with the weaponry of modern warfare constantly getting upgraded and more lethal, but the unwritten rules of firefights remains the same.  "Don't get seen before you can see your enemy." (The disruptive pixelated battle pattern that was termed as modernized was created as a better means of camoflague both during the day and night, which meant it should actively conceal someone from a blind eye or a night vision or an infra red goggle.
